Our first wedding show at the Landmark centre in Teddington

On a bright Sunday morning we trotted off to our first wedding show that was being held locally, we were not sure what to expect but we thought we would go and have a peek. For those of you who know the Landmark Centre is an audacious church which is used as an event centre- its stained glass windows and arched alcoves are simply stunning- the craftmanship in those days was truly amazing.

Outside the church were some old fashioned vintage cars and rolls royce, Mr W hurried along to get a closer view, 30 minutes later in a slight downpour I realised I must get inside, Grabbing Mr W by the hand, I whisked him inside, and we were just in time- the fashion show has begun, we watched from a side peeping throughin between  peoples arms and heads to get a closer view. The bridesmaid dresses were delightful, and the models so cute indeed. I saw a few dresses on the catwalk I liked, most of them were rather big and lavish and somthing that I was adamant not to have!

After the show we began venturing around the stalls, Mr W was very pleased when I suggested we look at cake decorators- off we went and began speaking to various suppliers, Mr W sampling at this stage and very keen to try more. I had to snap him away before he was sick.

The afternoon continued to be interesting, we met some beautiful card suppliers who made handmade invitations - mind you we had had some made by a family member for our engagement and we felt hers were much better!

All in all, it was a good day and we got some ideas of what we liked and didnt like - for Mr W that was certianly no to fruit cake and yes to sponge and lots of it!

Photos above of what we say, the cakes are indeed moutwatering and come at a hefty price so we may need to prize ourselves away from them for now.! Enjoy!
